Edmonton nihb therapists.

Support should be accessible.

We offer therapy services covered through the Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) program for First Nations and Inuit clients. We know that healing is deeply personal — and sometimes intergenerational. Whether you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, trauma, grief, you’re not alone.

This is a space where your story is held with respect. Where healing isn’t rushed, and where you can reconnect with your strength, your truth, and your hope.

Who can access NIHB therapy?

You may be eligible for NIHB-funded therapy sessions if you are:

  • A First Nations Status individual registered under the Indian Act
  • Or an Inuit recognized by an Inuit land claim organization

What is NIHB coverage?

NIHB (Non-Insured Health Benefits) is a program through Indigenous Services Canada that provides coverage for mental health counselling. Eligible clients can receive therapy at no cost from approved providers.

NIHB typically pre-approves 22 sessions per year, with the ability to request more if needed. We’ll walk you through the process and handle the paperwork.
